These are logos for Louisiana’s Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. The one on the left is the original when the grant was hosted by the Louisiana Board of Regents, the center graphic was a redesign when it was hosted by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA). The LOSFA version was designed to uniformly fit into the agency’s already existing media (the LOSFA logo is essentially the same graphic, but without the gear). Both logos were designed as vector and raster graphics, and they also included black and white as well as greyscale for faxing and copying. The version on the right was designed after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita as part of a “Battered But Unbroken” campaign. The distressed elements of the graphic were composed of photos I took, as well as a number of aging and weathering techniques in Photoshop.
LOSFA “Glassy” Logo

I recreated the flat version of the LOSFA logo into a slightly more dimensional, glass-style high resolution version for use in other projects. The idea was to modernize it without changing an already-recognized image. The logo was redrawn using Adobe Illustrator, with reflections and shading added in Photoshop on a large canvas at 300 dpi.
Geaux 2 College Campaign
The Geaux 2 College campaign was a joint effort with LOSFA and Louisiana GEAR UP that worked to give high school students a glimpse at college life by having them participate in fun, educational activities on college campuses across the state. The design scheme we worked with across all media (print and digital) used rotoscope images and an organic “paint spatter” effect throughout. The rotoscoped photos were taken by myself from previous camps that the programs had hosted.
U=U Louisiana
U=U is a global campaign that stands for “Undetectable Equals Untransmittable” and is one of the many campaigns supported by the Louisiana Department of Health’s STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program (SHHP). When a person undergoes HIV treatment using post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and their viral load becomes medically undetectable, they are unable to transmit the infection. Above are three different approaches to a U=U logo asset. The first is a traditional style logo, the second is isometric with the inclusion of a QR code, and the third is a version that gives a nod to Mardi Gras.
Assorted Logos and Splash Graphics

These images have been used in print, web, and social media as assets or standalone ad spaces. Included here are the seal used for the Louisiana GEAR UP Explorers’ Club, a collage of GEAR UP students wearing shirts I designed (I also took their photos), an asset for the GEAR UP Southeast Regional Conference, two splash graphics for Inspire Health Magazine, and a splash graphic for the Louisiana Protection Connection condom distribution hub.
TelePrEP Logo, Site Icons, and Web Presence
TelePrEP is the most visited subsection of the Louisiana Health Hub portal. I designed the logo, redesigned its web presence, and currently work with printers and promotional material companies to ensure print readiness for events and campaigns.
Website Icon Pack (Louisiana E-Portal)
The Louisiana E-Portal was developed before the Louisiana Connect website by the Board of Regents to assist in helping students connect with loans, grants, and the process involved with applying to two and four-year post-secondary institutions. Above is a very small sample of the icon pack I designed for the developer, with input from both the developer and the lead of the project at Regents. They were designed to be recognizable at a very small scale (even smaller than presented). In total, the icon pack contained well over one hundred unique icons.
Assorted Illustrations

Assorted illustrations used in a number of different projects using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate on iPad. On desktops and laptops I use Wacom digitizer pens to draw (I’m left-handed with a pen, and right-handed with a mouse, so navigation while illustrating is very easy). The vector Mothers Giving Mightily logo was designed for a project of Dr. Kim Hunter-Reed’s.
